Shani Mahadasha is the time or period when a person is under the rule of Lord Saturn which involves specific change & transformations in the individual’s life.
Various factors in a person’s life are influenced by Lord Saturn & whether the results are good or bad depends upon the placements of the planets on the Nakshatra an individual is born with. The period when Lord Saturn’s deadly effects are prominent due to its planetary positions in conjugation with other planets, is known as the Shani Dosha. He is known to be an excellent teacher &, based on an individual’s karma, justifies the people with either good results or punishes them for their evil deeds.
Saturn as a planet is the slowest moving planet. It takes almost 30 years to make one revolution around the Sun. As there are 12 zodiac houses in astrology, it stays for 2.5 years in each zodiac house. However, the results of this period can get extended up to 5 to 7.5 years. Based on the karmas of a human being, they must suffer during this period. The power of Saturn can be determined from the fact that invincible Ravan’s entire dynasty came to an end once Lord Saturn became retrograde for him.

Presented below is a very powerful sadhana of Lord Saturn which has been highly praised in ancient texts to appease Lord Saturn & get boons from Him.
One needs Shani Yantra & black Hakeek rosary for this procedure. This sadhana can also be started from any Saturday. Get up early in the morning (4 am) & take a bath. Wear fresh black clothes & sit on a black mat facing east. Next take a wooden plank & cover it with a piece of fresh black cloth. Make a mound with black sesame seeds & place Shani Yantra over it. Next meditate on the form of Lord Saturn.

Now make a mark with saffron on the yantra & light a lamp with sesame oil in it.
Next pray to Lord Saturn to remove all the hurdles, pains, troubles & provide all the auspiciousness in life. Next take the Hakeek rosary & chant 11 rounds of the below mantra.
Repeat the sadhana procedure on the next two Saturdays. After completing the sadhana on the third Saturday, go out & donate black sesame seeds, black lentils, goods made of iron etc. This completes the sadhana procedure & thereafter the life of Sadhak becomes better in every aspect – all the future troubles & losses are removed from his life.
