Bhuvaneshwari Jayanti: 18th Sept
SahastraViryararjun requested his Guru, Shri Dattatreya, to reveal the secret by which he can attain both spiritual as well as materialistic fulfillment in life. Lord Dattatreya replied, “Son! If you really want to fulfill your life with both these attributes, then you must leave all other procedures and just perform sadhana of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. Doing so, you will be able to attain your goal and there is no other means to attain it.”
When Lord Ram was about to get sworn as the king the second time, Sage Vashishtha said,
Ih Loke Hi Dhaninam Paropi
Swajanaayate, Swajanopi
Daridranaam Naraanaam Durjanaayate.
Even the closest relatives of a poor man deserts him, however, if the man is rich, even unknown people treat him as a very dear one.
He further adds, “Thus Ram, you should become rich and prosperous and to attain such a feat, you must perform the Sadhana of Mahamaya Bhuvaneshwari as there is no other option. If you want an unending source of wealth, fortune and Lakshmi, then this is the only path. And we all know how prosperous was the reign of Lord Ram which became possible just by the grace of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari.
Even Lord Krishna appeased Goddess Bhuvaneshwari prior to creating His kingdom in Dwarika. As a result, even His kingdom was full of all the prosperities and wealth.
This Sadhana is so powerful and unique that it can’t be obtained easily. It has been explicitly mentioned in Rig Veda that obtaining details of Bhuvaneshwari Sadhana is not possible for everyone. Only those few, whose past lives good deeds are ready to manifest, are blessed with this divine Sadhana by a SadGuru. It is also possible that a person accidently meets the SadGuru in life, however, due to lack of awareness, the person can’t identify the greatness of the Guru and might follow a different path in life.
Once Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati were strolling on earth. On their way, they met a very poor but innocent Brahmin. The Brahmin was a devotee of Lord Shiva and had full faith in Him. Goddess Parvati’s heart melted on his situation and she requested Lord Shiva, “O Lord! What sort of illusion is this? He is your great devotee and yet he is living such a pathetic life. Please bless him and make rich.”
Lord Shiva replied, “Parvati, this man is destined to remain poor in life.”
Mother Goddess replied, “I don’t know anything. You can do anything if you want. Please eradicate poverty from his life.”
Lord Shiva sighed and replied, “As you wish.” He threw a bag full of diamonds in front of the poor Brahmin. However, at that very moment a thought came into the mind of Brahmin that how he would have lived had he been blind. So, he closed his eyes and started to walk and passed beyond the bad.
Looking at the event, Lord Shiva said to Mother Goddess, “Look, I already told you. He is not destined to live a wealthy life.”
This small story teaches us that even if the Gods or Guru try to give something to a person, the blessings can’t materialize if the good deeds of the person are not ready to be manifested. Also, till the time a person is not able to attain the SadGuru, one can’t obtain success in Bhuvaneshwari Sadhana. However, the fortunate one, the one who is able to perform this Sadhana under the divine guidance of the Guru, becomes wealthy, prosperous, beautiful and attractive and inscribes his name on the golden pages of the history.
MahaYogi Gorakhnath mentioned twelve benefits of performing this Sadhana in His book Kapalbheti.
