Indian Shasta’s have unanimously agreed to the fact that the real pleasure in life is not in accumulating wealth. A human can’t obtain completeness in life until he is able to live all the aspects of life. If we look around, we will see a lot of people who have abundance of wealth, yet they are mostly sick ridden, and their life is full of tensions. It thus proves that money is secondary to health. It is also an ancient saying that “Good health is the first and foremost pleasure.” What is the use of such a wealth which can’t be used to eat what we wish as we are advised by doctor to avoid that food? What is the use of such a wealth which we can’t use to roam around, because we are bed ridden?
If we have abundance of wealth, fame, social status but if we are suffering from a major illness, then this entire wealth, social status is useless. Such a person can’t enjoy tasty foods, he can’t even enjoy his family life. Due to this reason only the Shastras have mentioned good health as the first and most important pleasure of life.
There are three types of diseases in life (1) Physical disability, (2) Some internal disease and (3) Mental troubles. Only a person who can get rid of all of them, can live happily and his life can be called as a successful life. A man tries his level best to overcome all these diseases, yet at most of the times he fails to do it. He seeks guidance of various doctors and invests a lot of money to get his health back and to live a normal life. When left dissatisfied, he tries to look forward for some divine power who can help him get rid of his shortfalls and bless him with good health.
Vishwamitra Sanhita mentions a very auspicious Sadhana which can help a person get rid of all his diseases and is dedicated to Lord Ganpati.
Sadhana Procedure:
One needs a Shvetaarka Ganpati energized with Ganpati Atharva mantra for this Sadhana. Get up early on any Wednesday and have a bath. Wear yellow clothes and sit on a yellow mat. Take a wooden plank and cover it yellow too. First, place Gurudev’s picture on the plank and worship Him with vermillion, unbroken rice grains and flower petals. Offer your prayers and seek His blessings for success in the Sadhana. Chant one round of Guru Mantra.
Next, place a Shvetaarka Ganpati in a copper plate over the wooden plank in front of Gurudev’s picture. Now, pour small amount of water onto Shvetaarka Ganpati 108 times chanting the below Mantra.

Drink this water as a sacred water and offer the same to your family members too. Perform this ritual daily. This process doesn’t take more than 15 minutes. This Sadhana is not only useful for your entire life, it will also be useful for your coming generations. It is also a fact that it is still easy to obtain other forms of Lord Ganpati but obtaining Shvetaarka Ganpati is possible only if there is rise of fortune. It is truly a blessing from Gurudev to provide such a great and useful Sadhana to all of us.
It is also important to note that this Sadhana can be performed by your wife, your son or your daughter in law in your absence. There is no special ritual associated with this Sadhana. Also, if one misses out to perform this Sadhana any day, nothing unfortunate will happen in the life of such a person.
