Lakshmi Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Goddess Lakshmi. Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi was born on Phalguna Purnima during the great churning of milky ocean which is popularly known as Samudra Manthan.
What makes this sadhana more effective is the fact that it is coinciding with Holi this year.
No one can neglect the importance of wealth in the present era. Not only in this era, there is a saying from the old days that a rich man is considered as learned, well-mannered and being generous. It is also true that only a rich man can feed or help a poor, only a rich man can create job opportunities and only he can be the source of inspiration to live a life full of all the materialistic pleasures. We have never seen any beggar being an ideal for anyone in our life.
Who doesn’t wish to live a life full of luxuries? Who doesn’t want to get what all they can think of? Who doesn’t want to live in a big house or to wear expensive clothes or to drive luxurious cars or to eat what one wants to eat? However, for all these things we need money. We need money to remain healthy as none of the medicines are free, we need to pay for hospitalization, we need to pay doctor’s fee etc.
Poverty is the greatest curse of Kalayuga. Have you ever seen a man struggling in life? Have you seen those small children begging on the roads? Have you seen those teenagers trying to sell something in scotching heat of the sun on red lights? Have you seen those men who are putting tremendous amount of effort in their life just to manage their survival? And even after so much struggle in life, they remain deprived of the most basic necessities of life. It is poverty which pushes a man or woman to follow the wrong path in life.
However, it is equally important to earn this money by fair means and not by cheating or looting someone. Such money can never bring satisfaction in life and just leads to miseries and diseases only. It is also true that one can’t become rich just by his mere efforts. Had it being true, there would have been no labours working so hard around us. Thus apart from hard work, it is also equally important to perform sadhana of Goddess MahaLakshmi using a Shri Yantra as it is the most significant yantra to appease the Mother Goddess. Presented below is one such magnificent sadhana of the Goddess to eradicate poverty from our life.
One must practice this sadhana on this day if he is going through financial crisis or wishes to get wealthy in life. One can also perform this sadhana during the Navaratris, Diwali, Holi or any other auspicious day related to Goddess Lakshmi.
One needs Shri Yantra and Kamal Gatta rosary for this sadhana procedure. Take a bath after 10 pm and wear clean yellow clothes. Sit on a yellow mat facing North and place a wooden plank before you. Cover the plank with a yellow cloth and place a picture of revered SadGurudev on it. Light a ghee lamp which should continue to burn during the entire sadhana duration. Now worship Gurudev with rice grains, vermillion and flowers and chant one round of Guru Mantra. After this pray to SadGurudev for success in the sadhana.
Next make a slightly big mound of rich grains on the plank and put some vermillion and flower petals on the mound and place the Shri Yantra on it. Also place a picture of Goddess Lakshmi in front of you. Offer some sweet made with milk to the Mother Goddess.
Now take the Kamal Gatta rosary and chant two rounds of the following mantra.

|| Om Hreem Shreem GajaLakshmi Shreem Hreem Om Namah ||
।। ऊँ ह्रीं श्रीं गजलक्ष्मी श्रीं ह्रीं ऊँ नमः।।
Chant one round of Guru Mantra again at the end of the sadhana. Chant Goddess Lakshmi Aarti and then eat the offerings made for the Goddess. Offer food to seven girls on the next day. It is observed that the person performing this sadhana starts getting good financial gains after this sadhana. One should place the yantra in his worship place and daily light incense in front of the yantra. For even better results, one should chant the above mantra 51 times daily in the morning before the yantra. This helps the person to gain continuous wealth in life.
