Whatever good or bad occurs in our life, is the result of our own actions. We are discouraged by the painful failures of spiritual practices in our physical life. This worldly life alternates between happiness and sadness. A normal person loses his enthusiasm when faced with adverse circumstances, and life seems like a burden. We feel utterly defeated and try to take multiple kinds of steps to resolve such situations. We continue to harm others around us due to these sufferings, resulting in an increase of this pain instead of abatement.
If we wish for our own good in this material world, then we must first do good to others. We must first become the reason for someone’s happiness to enjoy happiness ourselves. If we fill our own mind with negative thoughts ourselves, then how can we think or do something good. We will have to remove the negative feeling from within our own self and light the flame of knowledge.
A business owner has to provide excellent goods and services to earn profits, similarly, we have to respect and serve the family members to gain their cooperation. Only this can make the business or family successful.
Guru never wants his disciple-Sadhak to bear the ill effects of his evil deeds through multiple lives, or to lead his life in hellish circumstances. Guru wishes for the termination of sorrows and repentance of misdeeds. He wishes to transform a normal person into a complete disciple-Sadhak.
Happiness and sadness will always continue in life, but the Guru’s companionship terminates sorrows quickly and bestows an infinite power to fight with adversities. Let all your pains-sorrows be eradicated in this last month of the year, and may all of you attain tremendous zest and enthusiasm to fight all upcoming challenges in the new year.
May the coming year be filled with new hope and happiness for all of you!
Your own,
Vineet Shrimali
