There is a distinct difference between the two. If you love someone, then love is a relation for you, but you are not full of love. Buddha or Mahavir or SadGuru do not love anyone but are completely full of love. It does not mean that everyone will be able to get an equal amount of their love. They distribute in equal measure to everyone, but one gets whatever one is able to. Anyone who perceives Them as a foe will be completely deprived of any love, while the person who opens up his entire heart, will be completely full of love.
The person who is able to hear the music of the inner mind will get complete riddance from all kinds of disappointments in his life and will be full of hope. Hope does not mean that his wishes will get fulfilled either tomorrow or the day after. No, hope is entirely different from such lust. The Sadhak had given this up long ago.
Hope means that wherever he sees in life, he will always see the optimistic aspect. If the night is dark, he will see that the morning is very close by. If there are dark clouds in the sky, he will say that today’s lightning will be very spectacular. Whenever misery comes, he will say that wait for happiness, happiness will definitely close by. No matter how much pain is given to him, he will seek happiness from it and no matter how much he is harassed, he will obtain learnings from that experience. Whatever happens in his life, will never disappoint him. He will definitely find the ray of hope from every side. He will be able to locate that specific auspicious point in any direction.
Everyone will receive in different measure, but it is being equally distributed by Mahavir. It is not fair to say that it is being given. It is somewhat similar to light emanating out of a burning lamp. If you pass near the lamp, if your eyes are open, then you will definitely see the light. You will not see this light if your eyes are closed. The light is not emanating especially for you. You were passing by, with open eyes, and you just got it. Love is a similar state in life.
One who treads the path of sin, refuses to look into his inner self, closes his ears to the music of divine mercy and shuts his eyes to the divine light of the inner soul. He does so as he finds it tremendously easy to indulge in his desires.
The sinful-path has only one aim – that you tread outside towards someone, or towards something, instead of diving deep inside your own self. The sole fact of sin is to close the inner journey and start traveling towards the outside. All external travels towards anything are sinful. You may call it as religion, but it is still the same. Whenever you tread away from yourself, then you are on the path of sin and when you are getting close within yourself, then you are on the path of virtue. Becoming deaf to the inner voice of the consciousness is necessary for anyone wishing to get away from his own self. Because that voice will always continue to draw him inside. Becoming blind to the inner consciousness is necessary for anyone wishing to get away from his own self. Because the divine inner vision will definitely try to draw him inside.
Hence we steadily lose our path towards the inner-self, in our quest to go out comfortable, without any interruption. The more we tread outside, the noisier it becomes, and the uproar surrounds us from all directions. Then, when this suffering and distress prompts us to return back towards inner-self, we have to pass through all this turmoil created by us alone. However, if someone has courage and tenacity, then it is definitely possible to pass through this noisy throng. This throng is very weak, compared to the strong strength of the inner voice. We need to set up this relationship but once, to rule over this infinite source. However, a strong stream flows beneath our entire life, which cannot be abated. It is really deep, you should seek it out. This divine tone is definitely present within your own self. Seek it out, and once you hear those divine notes, you will easily recognize this within the folks around you.
I wish that you can hear those divine notes so that you can hear them in all around you. The deeper you go within your own self, the deeper you can view inside others as well. The day you recognize your own center, everyone around you will become real souls, instead of their physical body. Their center will become completely transparent for you.
You ought to note this significant fact – the deeper you transcend within your own self, the deeper you can see inside others. If you remain shallow for your own self, then you will be shallow for others as well.
Therefore, it frequently happens that you pass in close proximity of Buddha, Krishna, and SadGuru, and yet you cannot recognize Them. This is so because you can peek inside others, whatever depth you can transcend within your own self. IF you are shallow, then you cannot see within Their own self. Your thoughts remain shallow, your surroundings remain shallow, while you continue to conjure about depths in your own imagination.
And when I say that you pass close by to Buddha, then I am not stating it lightly. You have definitely passed Him by. Because you would have existed in your previous births. You must have definitely crossed paths with Buddha, Christ, Mahavir, Ram or Krishna. You must have crossed paths in multiple births, but you could never recognize Them. If you had, then you would not have been full of sorrow and suffering like you are today.
The reason for not realizing is that you can only see in proportion to the depth within your own self. Whatever you cannot see inside you, you cannot see inside others too. If you continue to see bad and wicked people around you, perceive darkness all around you, then one thing is definitely certain – That you have not viewed the divinity within your own self. It is certain that you have not yet heard the divine notes within your own self.
With divine blessings,
Kailash Shrimali
