Ganesh Chaturthi: 22 August 2020
Shwetark Ganpati is a blessing from Nature. It has been considered as one of the most pious things and it is very fortunate to just touch it. One can attain both power (fearlessness) as well as fortunes by performing its sadhana. The present article provides a very secret sadhana using which one can appease both Goddess Chandi and Lord Ganpati in life and attain their blessings.
Lord Ganpati is the foremost God, He is the one who takes care of this world and appears in various forms to help His devotees. At some place, it has been mentioned that He took birth from Goddess Parvati’s womb on the request of various Gods, somewhere it is mentioned that He was created by Goddess Parvati from Her body scrub and at some place He has been referred as “Yoga-son”. Everyone is aware about His Gajanana form and He is considered as Brahma, a form of Omkar and due to this reason the shastras have not given importance to His incarnations but to the various forms in which He appeared as the savior for His devotees.
There are mainly eight incarnations and thirty two forms of Lord Ganpati which are considered as His major forms and He appeared in these forms during different eras and circumstances. There are uncountable forms of Lord Ganpati and if we consider shastras then it is mentioned that Brahma has incarnated in the various forms of Lord Ganpati. Lord Ganpati’s essence is very secret. Great sadhaks don’t just worship Lord Ganpati because He is considered as the one who removes all the hurdles or whether He is considered as the first worshipped God, but because of the fact that He is an incarnation of Brahma. They worship His this Omkar form.
It has been mentioned in GanpatyatharvaSheersha Upanishad that one who meditates on the form of Lord Ganpati definitely becomes a great yogi in life. One doesn’t have to get distracted by His various forms or colors as these are His mere illusions. A sadhak can meditate or perform sadhana related to any of His forms and can attain complete success in it.
His elephant form and His vehicle being a rat holds far more significance than what we understand. It symbolizes that our thoughts are like a rat which keeps on wandering here and there. It can only be controlled by putting conscious efforts i.e. the concentration power should be as heavy (focused) as the weight of the elephant. On one hand where His forms are MahaGanpati, Vijay Ganpat, Ucchista Ganpati etc., He also has a very important form DurgaaGanpati which throws light on the fact that success in sadhana can be attained by amalgamating Goddess Durga and Lord Ganpati.
It is impossible to not talk about Goddess Durga if one is talking about sadhanas. How can any sadhana even get complete if one lacks power in life? When we speak about power, one naturally thinks about the ten MahaVidhyaas. However, it is also a fact that these ten MahaVidhyas are different forms of Goddess Durga only. Goddess Durga is a form of Goddess Jagadamba who provides both the boons to the sadhaks – fearlessness and contentment (as She is the provider of all the worldly pleasures too). A sadhak who has not performed the sadhana of Goddess Durga can’t appease Her, such a sadhak can’t eradicate poverty and miseries from life and even can’t attain any success or progress in life. Until and unless a sadhak has not appeased the Goddess, he can’t attain the power (both physical as well as mental ability) to perform any sadhana successfully. Thus such a sadhak is unable to attain or perform anything significant in life.
Poverty just doesn’t mean whether a person has scarcity of money, fame or beauty but is also a measure of at what mental state a person is standing in life. A person can be considered poor only if he is not satisfied in life even when he is blessed with everything, if he doesn’t utilize his wealth to help others or serve the needy or he doesn’t have any wish to perform great sadhanas in life and attain something meaningful in life, something which makes him stand apart from the crowd.
Undoubtedly, our day to day troubles don’t allow us to focus on something for a considerable amount of time. However, without focus and deep devotion, it is impossible to attain success in any sadhana. Until a person doesn’t learn the art of completely amalgamating oneself into the goal, until he is not willing to even dissolve his identity to attain success in the sadhanas, until he is not completely engrossed in the feeling of attaining success in each and every moment of his life, how can the person attain success?
Being a Ganpati Sadhana, it takes care of both the points mentioned above. This sadhana is equally beneficial to both classes – one who has scarcity of resources at their end or the one who has abundance of everything in life, yet they are unable to attain even elementary level success in the field of sadhanas. This sadhana shows the path to both the class of the sadhaks and if a sadhak includes this sadhana in daily sadhana procedure, then it removes all the hurdles that will come in the life of such a sadhak in future.
This sadhana needs to be performed on three Wednesdays. One needs to place DurgaGanpati in his home and perform their sadhana. This DurgaGanpati is something which has been created by nature itself and is thus considered to be energized and divine. This is a blessing to the humans from Mother Nature. One can find white Calotropis gigantean (Aark) tree whose roots contains this form of Lord Ganpati by great fortune. Such a tree is very rare and having Lord Ganpati in such a form is considered to be very fortunate.
One needs Rakta Sfatik rosary and Swetaarka Ganpati as sadhana articles. One also needs red sandalwood, unbroken rice grains, fresh grass (Durva), fragrance, big red flowers and sindoor mixed with pure clarified butter. Get up early in the morning and take a bath. Get into fresh red clothes and sit on a red mat facing east. Take a wooden plank and cover it too with a fresh red cloth. Place a picture of revered SadGurudev and worship Him with vermillion, rice grains, flowers etc. Light a ghee lamp (put some drop of the fragrance in it) and an incense stick. Then chant one round of Guru Mantra and pray to Gurudev for success in sadhana.
Next place a copper plate in front of Gurudev’s picture and place Shwetaarka Ganpati on it. Make a mark with sindoor paste and offer Him flowers, red sandalwood, unbroken rice grains, Durva etc. Offer some sweet made of jaggery to Shwetaarka Ganpati and speak out your wish for which you are performing this sadhana.
Now chant 5 rounds of below mantra with the rosary.
|| Om Dum Gam Karya Siddhaye Shwetaarka Gam Dum Phat ||
।। ऊॅं दुं गं कार्य सिद्धये श्वेतार्क गं दुं फट् ।।
Repeat the procedure on the following next two Wednesdays. This completes the sadhana procedure. Keep Lord Ganpati’s idol within your worship place as it is a symbol of great fortune. One can also repeat this procedure every Wednesday for best results. It is recommended to repeat the procedure for those who consider Lord Ganpati or Goddess Durga as their prime deity.
