Blessings of a lively and energetic Guru like “Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali J” increase the fortunes of aspirants manifold. Sadhana is the only simplest and best path in life, which along with bestowing success in life creates an unmatched personality. Aspirants interested to understand the significance of Sadhana, who are associated with Pujya Gurudev have one sole wish, i.e. to understand the initial steps of this knowledge so that they may participate in Daily Worship.
Before commencing the daily worship of Guru, it is essential to have the following articles ready beforehand- Yellow mat, Yellow dhoti, Guru chadar/ peetambar, Panchapatra, Sandalwood paste, Unbroken rice grains, Incense, Ghee lamp and Prasad (food offerings). You should have a “laminated and mantra energized photo of Gurudev” that you can wash prior to worship. In addition, one should also have a mantra energised “Guru Yantra” inscribed on copper plate, and a “Sfatik Mala” (crystal rosary) or “Rudraksh Mala” .After having bath, one should wear a clean and freshly washed yellow dhoti and Guru Chadar/Peetambar and start the Guru Poojan and Mantra japa facing East or North direction.
Take some water in your left palm, cover it with your right palm, and chant the following mantra
Om Apavitrah Pavitro Va Sarvaavasthaam Gatoapi Va |
Yah Smaret Pundareekaaksham Sa Baahyaa-Bhyaantarah Shuchih |
After chanting thus, sprinkle the water using your right hand fingers all over your body.
For internal and external purification take some water from panchpatra and sip thrice chanting the following mantras –
Om Amrito Pastaran-masi Swaha |
Om Amritaa-Pidhaan-masi Swaha |
Om Satyam Yashah Shrirmayi Shrih Shrayataam Swaha
Place your right hand on top of your head (Shika) to establish divine power through which we can imbibe the required energy to accomplish the sadhana,
Chidrupini Mahaamaaye Divya Tejah Samanvite |
Tishtha Devi! Shikaamadhye Tejo Vruddhim Kurushwa meh |
After the above step, energise the entire body to make it strong and capable for sadhana. While chanting each mantra touch your respective body part with the right hand.

Om Chakshurnme Tejostu -(Both eyes)

Just a body with flesh and bones is not called a Guru, rather it is the wisdom inside this body, that is called ‘Guru’. We prostate to Gurudev, who has undergone multiple sacrifices and penances to attain this wisdom. We appreciate the wisdom that makes Him shine. We have not seen Almighty but we have definitely seen Guru, who is divine like God himself. He gives us the strength to unite our body with Brahm, which is the ultimate goal of each human. That is why in Shastras, Guru is given the utmost importance, even above the Gods. Guru is always worshiped first. Praying to Guru before God is also asserted by Shastras. For the benefit of spiritual aspirants the method to perform Guru worship is given below-
