Guru Poorna Chintyai Sadaiv Kriyaayaat
Sa Sukhodbhavaa Dukha Sadaiv Chintyam
There is no major difference between animals and human beings. What all activities are performed by human race, the same are performed by animals also. Animals breathe and so do humans, animals eat and so do humans. Animals give birth to their children and so do humans. Animals also die after completing their duration and so do humans. The only difference between animals and humans is that animals can’t think of getting up early and pray to God, they don’t have the wisdom to think what activities they should do and what not. It is only a human, who has been blessed of this wisdom, to think how he can enlighten his life.
One can enlighten his life only with the help of this wisdom, following which even a simple person can achieve totality in life, even a simple man can become a God. A simple man can witness the aura of a God, he can become divine and this is the base of life. If we can’t see the true form of God then this is a waste of life.
However, the same thing has been repeated by hundreds of people before me. I am not telling something new to you. Even they said that a human must witness a God in his life and I am also saying the same thing to you, then what is the difference?
The difference is between saying and performing. If we say that recite “Ram-Ram” and God Ram will appear before you, then this is not going to happen, never. If we say that we have to eat and just by saying that we have eaten, our stomach won’t get filled, this is not possible. For that we need to cook the food and have to eat it, we need to perform all these activities, mere speaking won’t work.
Just by chanting and meditating, we can’t see the true form of God in life, though we may get mental peace. However there is a great difference between the two. When we practice meditation and we say that we are to meditate then this is our shortfall, this is our weakness, this is our proud that we can meditate but in reality you are unable to meditate.
Meditation means that we should even forget our existence. We should forget that we are sitting, we should forget ourselves, get completely drowned, we should not hear anything or whether any sound is coming from the kitchen. If something like this happens, then only one should consider that he is able to meditate else not.
Our sages, yogis, saints have advice people to perform meditation, to recite mantras, Ram-Ram, but no practical procedure ever came before you till now……right now you are thirty five years old and just thinking on this you will grow older by fifty years and then by seventy five years and finally you will die. If you think that we have chanted “Ram-Ram” and we also went to the temple…but these are just the base, we have to travel the path on which we can achieve totality in life.
What is the definition of totality?
If we don’t understand what the meaning of totality is, then we can’t even achieve it. If we have to go to Cannaught Place and we don’t know the path, we can’t reach there, rather we will reach Karol Bagh. We have to go to Cannaught Place and we don’t know the path. All these saints have told you that you have to reach Cannaught Place, you will find peace there. But none of them have told you the path to reach there. Till the time you don’t know the way you can’t achieve totality in life, you can’t reach Cannaught Place, you can’t see the God…..and till the time you don’t see the God, you can’t amalgamate yourself….and till the time you can’t amalgamate you can’t achieve totality in life.
It is mentioned in Ishaavaasyopanishad that we are complete and after amalgamating in the complete form (God), we can become complete. Lord has given us a complete form, we have two eyes, nose, ears, hands, legs, there is no shortfall, however when this completeness amalgamates with that completeness (God), then only we can achieve totality in life.
This is an incomplete totality; you can’t achieve totality in life just by listening to what I say. Till the time you don’t practically perform what I say, you can’t achieve totality in life. And when you achieve totality, you will be able to see the one whom the shashtras refers as Brahma, Krishna, Ram, Buddha, Mahavir…..what all names they have been given. We can achieve totality if we are able to amalgamate ourselves into them.
Then old age will not come to us, then there will be no shortfall in life, your life will be free of troubles. As mentioned in the shloka above, money, fame, power etc. don’t mean totality. Till now you have been wearing eight-nine clothes and now since you have five lakhs you should start wearing ten-twelve clothes because you have accumulated one more lakh this year. Previously you were eating four chapattis and now you should eat fifteen-twenty chapattis. However you will still eat four chapattis and wear four clothes, whether you have twenty lakhs or fifty lakhs. Then what is the need to practice for all these treacherous means, when they just result in tensions and troubles in your life.
When Alexander was nearing his death, he called his general and doctor and asked, “How long am I going to live?”
Doctor replied, “My Lord! You are very near to your death. You may die in another three to four hours. Everyone that comes needs to go one day.”
He asked his General, “Bring here what all I have collected throughout my life.”
Piles of diamond were made, to other side pile of jewelleries were made and to other side pearls and all precious stones were collected and near to him were standing twelve-thirteen thousand queens. Alexander lied there counting his last moments. He had to bend his neck completely to look at the pile of the diamonds….such huge collection….every single one priced over two to three lakhs…..you can imagine how much wealth he had !
He asked his General, “Is all this mine?”
The General replied, “Yes, my Lord! It’s all yours. You have brought all this from various countries. You have looted them all”.
“And what about these queens”?
“They also belong to you my Lord”.
He asked, “What will happen to me after I die”?
The General replied, “Nothing happens after the death my Lord. You will be tied to two bamboo shafts and will be covered with a shroud. Then you will be carried on four shoulders and finally you will be burnt in the mortuary”.
“Then what about all these”?
“These things never went with anyone, my Lord”.
“Then please listen to my last will, you have to do what I am telling you now.”
“Order me my Lord! I will fulfill your last wish. You are great, only you are the person who has been associated with word “great” in this world.” replied the General.
“How is a man tied on to a bier”? asked Alexander.
The General replied, “There is no big deal in it. The dead person is put on the bier and his hands and feet are kept straight like this. He is completely covered with a white cloth and then he is taken to the graveyard and is burnt there”.
Alexander replied, “When you tie me on the bier, let my hands remain out of it. Cover all my body with the shroud but don’t tie my hands”.
General replied, “My Lord! This has never happened before, hands are tied close to the body only and is covered with the shroud. You are asking me to do something against the rituals, how will it be executed”?
Alexander replied, “Execute my orders! This is my last wish that my hands should be set free and let them loll from the bier”.
General asked out of curiosity, “My Lord! There must be some reason as to why you want your hands to loll out of the bier”?
Alexander replied, “So that everyone and the coming generations should remember that even Great Alexander went empty handed. And this is the only reason why I want my hands to loll out of my bier”.
If Alexander the Great went empty handed, it is guaranteed that you all will also go empty handed. He was unable to take anything with himself, so even we can’t take anything with us……when we can’t take anything with ourselves, then all these things are useless.
The main aim of our life, shashtras, upnishads, veds, purans, your’s, your father’s, your forefather’s and everyone else is to achieve true joy in our life. There is a difference in joy and pleasure. If you buy a fan in summers and use it, it will give you pleasure. Joy is something different, joy is that you are sleeping merrily even if the fan is not operating. If it is cold and still you are enjoying it, sitting merrily, whether you have warm clothes or not then it is true joy.
I wish you that may you find a true Guru in your life and achieve the totality of life. I bless you all to achieve true joy in life. I bless you all once again from my heart.
