Yes, It’s possible to get relieved from the ill effects of Lord Saturn
Lord Sun was married to Daksha’s daughter, Sandhya. All was well until Sandhya felt small in the company of her radiant and powerful husband. As a solution, she created a womanly figure named Chaya, from her shadow and gave her the responsibilities of being the wife of Lord Sun. Lord Sun was not able to find out whether Chaya is his wife or not. Sandhya went on to the forest to do penance in order to increase her powers. In the meantime, Chaya soon gave birth to 3 children namely Manu, Shani and Bhadra.
However, when Chaya was pregnant with Lord Shani in her womb, she was doing severe penance to pacify Lord Shiva under the scorching sun which turned Lord Shani’s complexion to black. When Lord Shani was born, Lord Sun got shocked to see the dark complexion and suspected whether he was his child and got enraged on Chaya. Lord Shani as a child, saw that his mother was insulted without reason where he cast a cruel gaze upon his father which burned Lord Sun and turned his complexion as well to black. Lord Sun, unable to understand this event, went to Lord Shiva for help and was told the reality of the situation. Lord Sun then apologized and got his original complexion back. This small incident shows that Lord Saturn doesn’t even forgave the injustice of even his father and is thus known as the Lord of Justice.
Saturn is considered as the most malefic one of all the nine planets. A favorable Saturn can make a person become rags to riches. On the other hand, an unfavorable Saturn can demolish all the name and fame as well as the entire wealth of the person. Thus our ancestors gave due respect to Saturn and came up with several solutions to appease Him. It is not necessary to worship Saturn only when the planet is unfavorable. A wise person is the one who worships Him throughout his life so that he can attain all the favors from Lord Saturn during his entire life.
It has been mentioned in Shastras that one can’t be certain when Saturn can harm any individual. Thus, it has been advised to worship Lord Saturn on every Saturday. Given below is one very short and highly effective sadhana procedure related to Lord Saturn. This sadhana should ideally be started from Shani Jayanti however if this this not possible, a person can start the sadhana from any Saturday too. The sadhak must repeat the procedure on all the Saturdays throughout the year. This procedure doesn’t take more than ten to fifteen minutes.
Presented below is one very powerful sadhana of Lord Saturn which has been highly praised in ancient texts to appease Lord Saturn and get boons from Him.
One needs Shani Yantra and Shani Shafalya Rosary for this sadhana. The most appropriate day to start this sadhana is Shani Jayanti, however, one can start this sadhana from any Saturday after 9 pm. This sadhana must be performed at night. Take a bath and get into fresh black clothes or dark blue clothes. Sit on a black mat facing east. Place a picture of Gurudev and worship Him with vermillion, rice grains, flower etc. Light an incense stick and an oil lamp. Chant one round of Guru Mantra and seek His blessings for the success in sadhana.
Next, make a triangle with lamp black in front and place a copper plate on it. Make an eight petal lotus with lamp black on the copper plate and place Shani Yantra (in the form of an amulet) on it. Offer some rice grains dyed in lamp black on to the yantra and then pray to Lord Saturn –
“O Lord Saturn! You are the son of Lord Sun, you move continuously and have a dark complexion. I am performing this sadhana of Lord Sun’s son with full devotion.”
Next meditate on the form of Lord Saturn chanting the below mantra:
NeelDhutim ShoolDharam Kireetinam, GridhraSthitam Traasakaram Dhanurdharam.
ChaturBhujam SuryaSutam Prashaantam, Vande SadaaBhishtakaram Varenyam.
Now take Shani Shafalya Rosary in your hand and chant the mantra in following order. 1 round of Shani Gayatri Mantra, followed by 1 round of Shani Satvik Mantra and then 7 rounds Tantrokt Shani mantra.
Shani Gayatri Mantra
|| Om BhagBhavaaya Vidhmahe MrityuPurushaaya Dheemahi Tanno Shanih Prachodayaat ||
।। ॐ भगभवाय विद्यमहे मृत्युपुरुषाय धीमहि तन्नो शनिः प्रचोदयात् ।।
Shani Satvik Mantra
|| Om Sham ShanaiShcharaaya Namah ||
।। ॐ शं शनैश्चराय नमः ।।
Tantrokt Shani Mantra
|| Om Praam Preem Praum Sah ShanaiShcharaaya Namah ||
।। ॐ प्रां प्रीं प्रौं सः शनैश्चराय नमः ।।
Repeat the sadhana procedure for next seven days. Wear the amulet the next day after the sadhana. Drop all other sadhana articles in a river or pond. Continue to chant the mantra whenever you feel that things are not going in your favor. This will ascertain that Lord Saturn remains appeased with you and you get the most beneficial results from the benevolent lord.
