Naag Panchami : 25th July 2020
All the living beings want their offspring and it is completely natural. If we look around, plants, animals, insects and all livings being produce their own offspring. It is how this world proceeds and that’s how nature continue to flourish. However, not every couple is blessed enough to have a child in their life. A proof of the same can be easily seen by the number of IVFs that are getting opened these days.
Only a couple who is childless can understand the significance of a child in life. Not only do they feel a vacant space in their life, they also feel their life is not satisfying. Irrespective of the fact whether the person is rich or poor, all of them feel blessed to have a child in their life. On one hand, a poor person might still learn to live without a child considering the fact he might not even properly feed the child, a person with affordability feels highly remorseful in life. To them, it appears why they should work hard as no one is there to look after their property after them. Such couples even remain afraid of their old age as they feel insecure about their wellbeing when they will grow old.
It is also a fact that a woman becomes complete once she gives birth to her baby. Only then can a woman becomes complete as she automatically gets filled with love and care for her newly born child. Irrespective of the pains and sufferings she went through the last several months and the delivery pain, a divine smile emerges on her face when she takes her child for the first time in her hand.
In a country like India, a childless woman is the one who suffers the most. She is blamed to be a barren womb and is insulted every now and then. At some places, she is not even invited to participate in important religious functions. Truly, such a woman lives a life of a greater pain and frustration and tries to keep herself isolated from the entire world. This bitterness slowly creeps into her personal life which even hurts her married life too.
However, the field of sadhanas is so vast and it has solutions to all the problems. Our sages have faced similar issues too in their lives and have found solution to this problem too. We can easily recall about Dashratha who himself was childless and was blessed with four divine sons by the grace of sadhanas. Not only Dashratha, but Kunti too was blessed with divine sons by the grace of the sadhana she performed in her life and was the key element in bringing stability in this world.
Those sadhanas are still available for us, all that is required is full faith and devotion towards the mantra, sadhana and utmost towards our revered Gurudev. One such sadhana to get blessed with a child is mentioned below. This sadhana can only be started from the day of Nag Panchami and it doesn’t take more than 10 minutes to complete this sadhana procedure.
King of Snakes, NagRaj or Vasuki, is worshipped across the entire country. He is worshipped to bring fearlessness in life and is treated as a protector. The way humans are living beings, so are snakes. It has been mentioned in our ancient texts that just like humans, earlier snakes too had a human form. However, they please Lord Vishnu and got themselves converted to act as His bed. Snakes are the ones who always accompany Lord Vishnu, they are worn as garland by Lord Shiva and Lord Sun’s horses too are snakes only.
Fear is an attribute which can bring an imbalance in the life of even the most powerful or the most intelligent human being. Someone remains afraid of enemies, someone is afraid of their officers, someone is afraid of ghosts and due to this reason, such people can’t make the progress in their life as per their capability. However, a greater fear is observed when one’s child is in danger. One can safeguard one’s child too on the day of this Nag Panchami.
In today’s world, Nag Panchami is considered as a festival of women only. However, this is a myth as snakes are the symbol of Kundalani energy; an energy that resides in all human beings and thus Nag Panchami is equally important to both men and women.
One needs Parad ShivaLing, NagaArjun Gutika and Rudraaksha Rosary for this sadhana. This sadhana should be performed during evening and the woman who wants to perform this sadhana should take a bath and wear beautiful clothes and get ready properly and sit on a yellow mat facing east. Take a wooden plank and cover it with fresh red cloth. Place a picture of revered Gurudev and worship Him with vermillion, rice grains, flowers etc. Light a ghee lamp and an incense stick. Then chant one round of Guru Mantra with Rudraaksha rosary and pray to Gurudev for success in sadhana.
Then the person must first worship Lord Shiva and offer some water mixed with milk onto the Shiva Linga. Next the sadhak should chant one round of the below Shiva mantra.
|| Om Namah Shivaaya ||
।। ॐ नमः शिवाय ।।
Now take a white paper and make a picture of Nag God with vermillion. This picture must have two eyes on the head, make a mark of vermillion on the forehead and the tongue must be split in two. Now place this picture next to Parad Shiva Linga and offer some unbroken rice grains dyed with sindoor. Offer some sweet made with milk to Lord Vasuki. Now take some water in your right hand pledge thus, “I, (speak out your name), am performing this sadhana to get blessed with child in my life. May God Vasuki get pleased on me and fulfill my wish.” Then let the water flow onto the floor.
Now place the NaagaArjun Gutika in front of the picture of Vasuki God and recite the below mantra just 21 times. This procedure should be repeated for next 7 Wednesdays.
|| Anant Vasukim Shesham Padyanaabham Cha Kambamlam ||
|| ShankhaPaalam Ghritaraashtram Takshakam Kaaliyam Tathaa ||
|| Aytani Nava Naamaani Naagaanaam Cha Mahaatmanaam ||
|| Santaan Praapyate Santaan Rakshaa Kara SarvaBaadhaa Naasti Sarvatra Siddhi Bhavet ||
Tie the NaagaArjun Gutika in a black cloth after performing the sadhana procedure on each Wednesday and wear it around your arm or waist. Very soon you would be spreading the good news of getting blessed with a child.
This sadhana is equally important for those who want to safeguard their child from all sorts of calamity as well as for those women who have faced abortions due to weakness or any other physical shortcomings in their body. You can perform this sadhana form more than one child. One needs to have separate NaagaArjun Gutika for each child.
It is mandatory to obtain Guru Diksha from Revered Gurudev before performing any Sadhana or taking any other Diksha.
