In the last edition we have shared some extracts from Gurudev’s speech where He explained what the current world thinks about love, what is the true meaning of love, what importance Sadhana, Mantra chanting, getting a glimpse of God or Goddess holds in life. He termed path of love as RajMarg. Continuing from that….
I have traveled on the path of this Rajmarg without any selfish motives, without any physical desires, without any wishes, with pious soul and heart. I have learned the art of love by the philosophy of life, I have experienced it and love exists in every part of my body, in every pore of my body.
Buddha was not able to become a complete man in His life. Mahavir has not been termed as a personality who possesses all the sixteen traits of a complete man. Even Ram has not been termed as a personality who possesses all the sixteen traits of a complete man. Possessing all the sixteen traits mean to become a complete human being and even Shankaracharya was not able to attain these sixteen traits.
The complete personality that has been talked about in Vedas, that has been mentioned in Upanishads or in Shastras can be seen in Lord Krishna. And due to this reason Krishna has been accepted a personality who possesses all the sixteen traits of a human being. Krishna had the traits like laughter, smile, the ability to achieve higher levels in life etc. And above all, Krishna knew how to love, He can give love and can accept love. If we look at the history of love, then we will find that only Lord Krishna had the capability to love others. Only Lord Krishna knew the way to love and to completely amalgamate the love in His heart.
And thus those sages have given the acronym “Ideal Man” to Ram, however Ram was a serious man, He was covered with an aura of ideology. Mahavir was also able to attain nirvana however He was able to do it by means of sacrifices only. He didn’t have any other path than that of sacrifice and due to this reason Mahavir didn’t smile even for a single moment in His life, He doesn’t have a smiling face and it is all because His life was deprived of love. He has consciousness, there is a completeness in His sacrifice, He even discarded His clothes, He became complete by getting nude. He gave an unparalleled path of consciousness, knowledge, path to completeness, however this path is secluded.
Buddha tried to attain completeness by means of meditation. He attained that aspect of life however a smile never emerged on His face. And even though that path leads to completeness, there is no harmony in this path. And due to this reason, even He has not been categorized among the persons who possess all the sixteen aspects of life. The Shastras have accepted Buddha as an incarnation, where we have accepted Ram as an incarnation, where we have accepted Krishna as an incarnation, we have also accepted Buddha as an incarnation. Undoubtly, Buddha was one of the greatest in the field of knowledge, what all Buddhatva He attained brought a new consciousness in the world, He gave a new thought process, He gave a new philosophy of life.
However the essence of life lies in laughter, love, joy, satisfaction….and Krishna learnt how to be satisfied in life. However people didn’t understand Him because every moment is different for a person who possesses all the sixteen traits of life. Such a person has hands, legs, eyes, nose and ears just like a common human being and due to this reason only He appears to be close to us….and because Krishna was close to other people, they were unable to understand Him and because they were not able to understand Him, they blamed Him for many things, they abused Him. However, finally they all had to agree that Krishna is a complete Yogi, that Krishna is full of knowledge, that He has attained completeness in life, that only Krishna could have created an unparalleled text like ShriMad Bhagwat Gita. And it was all possible because Krishna’s heart was not dried up, it was full of love, it was because His heart was full of joy and above all there was a wave in His heart, there was smile, laughter in His heart and His heart could both grant as well as accept love.
And I have already mentioned it that love is not lust. Had love a synonym of lust, Krishna would have gone to Vrindavan from Mathura on numerous occasions. He would have gone to Gokul multiple occasions and would have teased the Gopis. When He left Vrindavan, when Udhav came to take Him, when Akrura came to invite Him, He left Vrindavan in a single moment. He didn’t even look at the Gopis for a single moment, He didn’t even think about them for a single moment. It is all because
– He only knew how to love.
– There was nothing like lust in His life.
– And due to this reason, Krishna has been accepted as a complete human being.
– Due to this reason Krishna is close to being a human being.
– And due to this reason where there are aspects like yoga, meditation, thought process there also exists completeness too.
– It is the satisfaction of life, it is the laughter of life, it is like a waterfall.
– One can attain completeness in Him.
– And due to this reason, love is the essence of life.
I am telling you a method to attain joy and satisfaction during the course of your travel in this ocean of love. It is due to this reason that I term love as a sword, it’s the sharp edge of a sword, walking on which the feet gets injured badly. It is not a simple path. It is not a trail which is full of flowers, love is extremely difficult, it is very painful. Only one out of millions possess the skill to love from the depth of his heart.
Mira knew this art, there was no lust in Mira. Even after these many years, no one can blame Mira that her life was lustful. No one can defame that lady. Irrespective of the fact that she came out of the palace, irrespective of the fact that she took out her veil, irrespective of the fact that she danced wearing ghunghru (musical anklet), irrespective of the fact that she stayed with sages, still no one can point out a finger on her character. It is all because she loved in her life, she bore the fragrance of love, lotus of love emerged in her heart, though the foul smell of lust never came out from them.
And I am proceeding you towards love because if there is no love in life, if fragrance don’t exist in your heart, if flower of love doesn’t emerge from your heart, then there can be no Sadhana in life, this life will be a waste, this life will be tasteless, it will be like a dead body. And this does not mean that you start loving a girl. This also doesn’t mean that you leave your wife and get attracted towards other woman. I am telling you that you have to love your Guru. You have to completely amalgamate yourself in Guru.
You have to completely dissolve your identity into Guru because Guru is a symbol of love. If you are a disciple, then learn the art to dissolve yourself into Guru, amalgamate yourself in His love, in His philosophy. You must feel like that this life is useless without Him, and when you will be able to attain this level, then you will be able experience joy and completeness in life.
I don’t want to become a Guru who will convert you into a dead being. I don’t want to become a Guru who will convert you into a tasteless thing. I do not want to become a Guru who sends you to deep jungles to roam here and there….and I also don’t want you to become a disciple who meditates in the scorching desert. I want to convert you into a disciple who is full of laughter, I want to teach you the way by which you can progress in your life, I want to fill your entire life with joy and happiness because I have tasted that joy in my life. I have loved my God, I have loved my Guru, I have experienced love in life and can say that love is a state where is no place for rumors, where there is no place for what others will think about me, where there is no place for what is the thought process of the society.
Tanhai Mein Bhi Ashkon Ko Sahalaye Nahi Jate,
Lahuluhaan Kadamon Ko Bahakaye Nahi Jate,
Muhabbat Me Jamana Cheel De Jism Ko Phir Bhi,
Jigar Ke Zakhm Chaurahe Pe Dikhalaye Nahi Jate.
The above lines means that one can’t nourish the tears even when the person is alone, one can’t stroll around with blood oozing feet, no matter even if the society peels of the body of a person who is in love, however wounds of heart are not shared with everyone. What it all means is love is full of pains and sufferings, love is not accepted by the society, a person in love has to bear a lot in his or her life, yet love is something which is still a blessing, yet love is something which is not shared with all, love is something which makes a person stand out in the crowd.
People will point fingers on you, they will taunt up on you, you will have to bear all these wounds on you heart. Mira suffered from these wounds, these wounds have been bore by all those Sadhaks who have loved in their life. Kabir had to bear all wounds created by the stones thrown up on him, Jesus had to bear all the wounds that were created by the stones thrown up on Him and it was all because they learnt the philosophy of love. You are not the first person who wish to attain love in life, you are not the first person who has learnt about love. All those who have been able to witness God, they have learnt the A, B, C, D of love, they have learnt the philosophy of love…and due to this reason I am taking you towards the path of eternal joy instead of that dead life. Yes! It might be possible that you have to bear a lot of pain in the process of learning the art of love.
Ankhiyan Jhain Padi, Panth Nihari Nihari,
Jibhadlya Chala Padya, Ram Pukari Pukari.
My eyes have been turned into stones looking forward for His arrival. I am looking around each and every moment. Krishna can come at any time. I don’t want to blink my eyes even for a single moment. It might be possible that He may arrive and disappear in a moment of the blinking of my eye. And then, I might never be able to get His glimpse again. I want to completely get amalgamated in Him. I want to completely end my identity, I want to give completeness to my life. This is a joy of life, this is a blessing of life.
It is the greatness of Mira when she says these lines. She doesn’t know how to meditate, she doesn’t know how to worship, she doesn’t understand the philosophy of life, she doesn’t know any mantra, she doesn’t know any Sadhana …..yet Mira is alive till today and even in a better way than you all. It is because there was a happiness on Mira’s lips, because there was a joy on her lips. It is all because she learnt the correct way to live in life….and we have not learnt it till now. We have learnt that life is a burden, we are all carrying our life as a burden on our shoulder. A person who has not loved in life, one who has not tasted the nectar of love, one who has not sacrificed oneself for the lover, one who has not lost the identity for the sake of the lover, such a person has not learnt the way to live, such a person has never enjoyed the life.
And due to this reason when those saints, those yogis, those philosophers witnessed the God, they all emphasized on this thing, “Main To Ram Ki Bahuriya” i.e. I have been able to attain Ram only after becoming His wife, Kabir termed himself as Ram’s wife. Soor said, “I am Ram’s wife.” Mira said, “Mere To Girdhar Gopal, Dusaro Na Koi” i.e. the only person that I know is Lord Krishna. Those Vedas have mentioned that, “Aham Taam PrabhuTai Va Poorvah”, i.e. I am a lady who wishes to get amalgamated with the manly form of God. They termed themselves as woman because only a woman’s heart is fully conscious. The body remains like that of a man only, the same bravery exists, however the brain stops controlling such a person, the person stops counter attack by means of brain. Love can’t exist where there is brain, love can’t exist where there is an existence of contradiction in life. One has to leave brain and contradictions alone on this path of love.
Thus when you travel with me on this trip, when you progress with this great ocean, you must leave aside brain and your view points at one end, you must leave your meditation at one end, you must leave your dead and energy less body at one end….because when you should flow with me, you should flow without any bounds, you must flow with your completeness and I will be there with you in your entire journey of this great ocean.
– I am with you because I want to transform you into a wave.
– I am with you because I am teaching you the way to get transformed into a wave.
– I am with you because I want you to complete this journey of this entire great ocean.
– And I am with you because I want to tell you that this ocean can be crossed with eternal joy.
This world is like the ocean where there are creates like crocodiles, where there are whales, where there are conspiracies, where there is pain, where there are sufferings, where there are cyclones….even in that ocean you can proceed ahead just like a wave. Due to this reason I ask you to become a fragrant breeze, due to this reason I ask you to become a river because a river understands the feeling of love. That river starts its journey from Gangotri where the path is full of rocks, the path is very difficult and filled with sharp edged rocks, ….however the river doesn’t give any attention towards them. The river remains unaware of mountains, rocks; all that it is concerned with is the fact that it needs to continuously travel towards its destination. It travels through Haridwar, Banaras and it is treated like a Goddess. People take holy dip into it and yet it continues its journey. Ganga might have thought that what’s the use of traveling any farther, I am treated like a Goddess at Haridwar only, why to travel so long. Yet She continues Her travel because She knows that Her completeness is not in the fact that what people think about Her, Her completeness is not in the fact that many people take a holy dip in Her. She knows that Her only goal is to get united with the ocean and to completely amalgamate into that unending ocean and become its part. If She stops in between, if She doesn’t reach to the ocean, then definitely it would get dried up in the way and would lost Her glory, would lost Her piousness. It just has one dream and that is to get united with the ocean again.
And when you wish to reach to the depth of Meditation, when you wish to get a glimpse of your beloved God or Goddess, when you wish to amalgamate into your Lord, when you want to get united with your Guru, when you wish to obtain success in Sadhanas….you should come to me like a wave and learn the meaning of love, you should put your first step on this new path. When you will proceed on this path, a smile will come on to your face. For the very first time, you will be able to enjoy your life. For the first time a divine song will come on to your lips and for the very first time, you will be able to understand the correct meaning of life, essence of life, the enjoyment of life, the beauty of life, the completeness of life and would agree to the fact that the fortune of life is nothing else but love. Today, I stand along with you to take you onto the journey of this great ocean, I will swim along with you and will guide on this great journey. I am ready to take you to the other side of the ocean.
I trust you all, that one day you will be able to understand me, one day you will be able to get into deep love with me, one day you will become a true messenger of love. I bless you all that may you be able to enjoy your life to the fullest, may you be able to attain what you wish to in your life, may you rise to the height that the whole world recognize you. Once again, I am blessing you all from the depth of my heart.
