One who has incarnated in the human form due to His Maya, the one who delights everyone, who loves to stay at Mount Kailash, who frees His disciples from the cycle of birth and death, who thinks for the betterment of all, who is filled with knowledge, who removes all the darkness from the life of His disciples and enlighten them, may that SadGurudev Nikhileshwaranand Ji bless me in His Supreme form!
There are rare and beautiful moments in life when an artist becomes completely absorbed in what he sees. Imagine a painter standing before a stunning landscape. In that instant, he does not remain separate from the scene. Instead, he feels as though he has become a part of it. The trees, the sky, the colors, and the light all blend into his being. This deep connection between the artist and nature is what allows him to create something truly extraordinary on canvas. This merging of one’s identity with nature is the true secret behind creativity. It is not just about technique or skill but about oneness—losing oneself in the beauty of existence.
In a similar way, the greatest creator of all, the Divine or the Guru, is present in every aspect of nature. The universe itself is His creation. Every small particle, every element of nature carries His presence. This is why the world around us is so rich, vibrant, and full of life. However, human beings have slowly lost the ability to see and experience this truth. Over time, people have become disconnected from their inner selves. Artistic sensitivity, the ability to feel deeply and connect with the universe, has faded. The practice of meditation and spiritual disciplines, known as sadhanas, has become rare.
As a result, modern man keeps searching for happiness and fulfillment in the outside world—through material success, possessions, and external achievements. But the real treasure lies within. True joy, peace, and contentment can only be discovered by looking inward.
The Path of Inner Exploration This is why yogis and spiritual seekers often sit quietly with their eyes closed. To an ordinary person, it may appear as if they are doing nothing, simply wasting time. But they are exploring a vast and beautiful inner world. When a person begins to dive deep within themselves through meditation, they start experiencing a unique sense of peace and happiness. This happiness is not dependent on external conditions. It is pure, steady, and fulfilling.
Once someone tastes even a small amount of this inner joy, they naturally want to explore it further. It’s like discovering a hidden treasure within oneself. A sincere disciple, guided by a true Guru, gradually learns how to move deeper into this state through regular practice of sadhana. As the journey continues, a special glow begins to appear in the person. It reflects in their face, in their behavior, and even in their presence. This glow is not physical—it is the result of inner peace and spiritual awakening.
The Danger of Imbalance However, this stage of spiritual growth is also very delicate and important. The joy of meditation can be so powerful that a person may feel tempted to leave everything else behind and dedicate all their time to spiritual practices. This can create problems. If someone completely ignores their worldly responsibilities—such as family, work, and social duties—they may face difficulties in their material life. Over time, this imbalance can lead to failure in practical areas, which may then cause frustration and disappointment. In many cases, people either become too focused on spiritual life and neglect worldly needs, or they focus only on material success and ignore their inner growth. Both extremes are incomplete and unsatisfactory. Such imbalance often leads to confusion.
A person may feel lost or dissatisfied, and due to lack of understanding, may even start blaming the Guru for their condition. This misunderstanding arises because they fail to realize that true progress requires balance. The Path of Balance: The Golden Middle Way A true Master or Guru understands the importance of harmony in life. He knows that both spiritual and material aspects are essential. That is why great teachers advocate the path of balance.
This balanced approach is often referred to as the “Middle Path” or the “Golden Mean,” a concept also taught by Lord Buddha. It suggests that one should avoid extremes and instead follow a moderate and disciplined lifestyle.
For ascetics—those who renounce worldly life—it is possible to spend many hours in meditation. But for people living in the world, who have families and responsibilities, such a lifestyle is not practical. Therefore, the Guru provides a structured routine that allows householders to progress spiritually without neglecting their duties. Even a few minutes of daily sadhana, done with sincerity and consistency, can bring meaningful changes in life. This balanced approach ensures that a person grows both spiritually and materially, leading to a more complete and fulfilling life.
Misunderstandings About Ascetic Disciples There is a common misunderstanding among many household disciples. They often believe that advanced or ascetic disciples of the Guru have special powers that allow them to see or meet the Guru whenever they wish. However, this is not true.
Even highly advanced disciples follow strict discipline and obey the Guru’s instructions completely. They do not use their spiritual power for personal desires or convenience. In fact, they may not even see the Guru physically for long periods—sometimes even for years. Despite this, their faith and devotion remain strong and unshaken. Why? Because they have experienced something much deeper than physical presence.
They have had profound spiritual experiences that keep them in a state of constant inner joy. This connection is not based on physical contact but on a higher level of awareness. Because of this inner connection, they can focus better in their sadhanas and progress more quickly on the spiritual path.
Understanding Guru Tatva
As a disciple progresses on this journey, they begin to understand a deeper concept known as “Guru Tatva.” This refers to the true essence or principle of the Guru. Guru Tatva is not limited to the physical body of the Guru. It is a universal spiritual force—a higher consciousness that guides and uplifts the disciple.
To experience this, one must develop a subtle form of perception, often called “inner vision.” This vision is not related to physical eyes but to inner awareness. The journey from the gross world to this subtle state is called Guru Tatva Sadhana. It is a special spiritual practice that helps the disciple connect deeply with the Guru’s essence. Even when the Guru is physically present, His ultimate goal is to help the disciple connect with this higher state. He wants the disciple to experience oneness with the Divine.
Union with the Supreme When a disciple successfully connects with the higher form of the Guru, known as ParaBrahma, something extraordinary happens. The sense of separation dissolves. The disciple feels deeply connected to the universe and the Divine. At this stage, many limitations disappear. Doubts fade away, and the mind becomes calm and clear. A deep sense of joy and satisfaction fills the heart. The disciple no longer feels alone or uncertain.
Instead, they experience a constant inner presence of the Guru.
This state brings fearlessness. The person becomes calm, steady, and confident, even in difficult situations. Life’s challenges—such as stress, sorrow, anger, or desire—lose their power over the individual. These negative emotions can affect a person only until they reach this level of awareness. Once they enter this state, the power of Guru Tatva protects them and keeps them stable.
Living in Two Worlds
One of the most beautiful aspects of this realization is that the disciple can now live comfortably in both worlds—the inner and the outer. Externally, they continue performing their duties, fulfilling responsibilities, and interacting with the world. Internally, they remain peaceful, joyful, and connected to the Divine. This balance allows them to handle life with ease and clarity. They no longer feel overwhelmed by problems. Instead, they approach every situation with calmness and wisdom.
The Power of Guru Tatva Sadhana Guru Tatva Sadhana is considered one of the most effective and powerful spiritual practices. It enables the disciple to establish a direct connection with the Guru’s higher consciousness. Through this connection, a person can receive guidance, support, and protection at any time and any place. It does not matter where the Guru is physically located—whether in a sacred place like Siddhashram, in the Himalayas, or elsewhere. The disciple can connect with Him through inner awareness and seek help whenever needed.
This direct link helps in overcoming life’s challenges more easily. Problems that once seemed difficult or impossible become manageable. The journey of life becomes smoother and more meaningful.
The Importance of Spiritual Strength According to spiritual teachings, the present time is a period of change and transition. It is a phase where both challenges and opportunities exist. In such times, relying only on material knowledge is not enough. Spiritual strength becomes essential for success and stability. As many spiritual masters have said, only those who develop inner strength through spiritual practices can truly overcome difficulties and emerge victorious.
A Path for All Disciples
Understanding the importance of this, Gurus provide special sadhanas to guide their disciples. These practices are designed to help individuals face modern challenges while growing spiritually. With regular practice, discipline, and faith, anyone can benefit from these teachings.
The key lies in balance—balancing inner growth with outer responsibilities, faith with effort, and devotion with understanding. Life is not just about achieving success in the external world. It is also about understanding oneself and discovering inner happiness. By reconnecting with the lost art of meditation, embracing spiritual practices, and following the guidance of a true Guru, one can unlock the hidden potential within.
The journey may seem simple, but it leads to profound transformation. From confusion to clarity, from stress to peace, and from limitation to freedom—this is the true path of spiritual growth. And through the power of Guru Tatva, every seeker can find the strength, wisdom, and joy needed to live a complete and meaningful life.
