According to the Narad – Panchratra, once Goddess Kali decided to come back to Her original form and hence disappeared. When Lord Shiva was unable to find Her, He asked Lord Narad to look for Her. Lord Narad informed Him that Goddess Kali could be found in the North of Smaeru mountains. Lord Shiva sent Lord Narad to the Goddess with a marriage proposal. Hearing to the proposal, Goddess got extremely furious and in this state of wrath, a destructive shadow appeared through her body which came to be known as “Tripura Bhairavi”.
Within the Ten Mahavidhyas, Goddess Tripur Bhairavi is placed at the sixth position. Performing Her sadhana provides name, fame and place within the society. She has been considered as a form of Goddess Kali only. As per Purans, Prajapati Daksha organized the holy sacrifice and didn’t invite Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati.
This made Goddess Sati extremely angry and She decided to go to the holy sacrifice even without the invitation. She became enraged and looking at Her fierce form, Lord Shiva tried to escape the place. At that very moment, the Ten Mahavidhyas emerged out of the body of Goddess and blocked Lord Shiva in all the ten directions.
It was Goddess Tripur Bhairavi which blocked South direction. The fifth power, Goddess Chhinnamasta is associated with completed demolition whereas Goddess Tripur Bhairavi is associated with the demolition happening at every moment. Everything around us is getting destroyed and this demolition is the task of Lord Shiva. Goddess Tripur Bhairavi is the power which helps Lord Shiva to perform this activity. Goddess Rajrajeshwari preserves all the good things of the three world and Goddess Tripur Bhairavi destroys all the bad things of the three worlds.
She helps in overcoming all the obstacles of life and directs Her devotees towards the path of success. She is also known as Bhava Bandhan Mochani, since worshipping Her gives relief from all kinds of obstacles. It is believed that the Goddess enters into the heart of the devotees who worships Her with full devotion, faith and dedication. Worshipping Her and chanting Her mantras with full devotion usually pleases Her easily.
In all the sacred texts, Goddess Tripura Bhairavi is presented as radiating more powerfully than a thousand suns together. She has three eyes and wears a diadem made of precious stones, in the shape of a crescent moon. Her face is as beautiful as a lotus flower and Her expression is kind, happy and smiling. Her garments are red; Her breasts are stained with blood; She wears a necklace of skulls around Her heck. In two of her four hands, She holds a rosary and a book, and with the two remaining hands. She performs the gestures of knowledge and the gesture of granting spiritual gifts and power. Sometimes, She performs Abhaya mudra, the gesture of casting away the fear. Goddess Tripur Bhairavi’s sadhana can transform an individual’s personality. Performing Her sadhana can make a person as beautiful as Kamdev. Anyone coming in the contact of such an accomplished sadhak is bound to get attracted towards him and willingly starts to follow his commands. This sadhana procedure is extremely useful to make oneself beautiful, to make this entire world favorable for you and even an impotent person can become potent after performing Her sadhana.
One needs Tripur Bhairavi Yantra, Tripur Bhairavi rosary and TriShakti Gutika for this sadhana procedure. This sadhana must be performed early in the morning and shall be started from any Tuesday or on the third day of any bright phase of lunar month. One must wear pink clothes and use pink mat for this sadhana. Take a bath and sit on a mat facing north. Take a wooden plank and cover it too with a fresh pink cloth. Place a picture of revered SadGurudev and worship Him with vermillion, rice grains, flowers etc. Light an oil lamp and an incense stick. Then chant one round of Guru Mantra and pray to Gurudev for success in sadhana.
Next place a copper plate in front of Gurudev’s picture and the yantra over it. Worship the yantra with water, vermillion, rice grains etc. Make a mark with vermillion on your forehead too. Place the TriShakti Gutika in front of the yantra and worship it as mentioned above. Next take the rosary and chant 11 rounds of the below mantra.

Offer some sweet food to the yantra made with milk after the mantra chanting and consume it yourself. Drop the yantra and gutika in a pious river or pond the next day and keep the rosary at a safe place. Repeating the procedure by just chanting 11 rounds of the mantra before Gurudev’s picture with Tripur Bhairavi rosary two more days (on the third day of bright phase of lunar month in next two months) appeases the Goddess completely and She remains favorable for the sadhak for the entire life. For best results, the sadhak must get initiated with Tripur Bhairavi Diksha and continue to chant 1 round of above mantra daily.
