Ages ago our Rishis and Yogis had discovered that most of the thorns on this path of life, can be swept aside with the help of the various divine beings namely Gods, Goddesses, Apsaras, Yakshas, Kinnars etc. Through a particular ritual a particular a deity could be propitiated and its help sought to make life easier and smoother.
Nevertheless most of these deities have limited powers, while some can bestow only wealth, others can free one from diseases. In other words one has to perform different Sadhana of a different deities, each time he faces a new problem in is life. This is not very practical in modern times when time is the scarcest commodity.
Then is there no deity who could take care of all one’s sufferings? Well there sure is! What more He is a powerful God, who is all more helpful in Kaliyug, the present age when immorality, crime, ailments and deceit reign supreme.
In fact you may have even worshiped Him, for in India no ritual, no ceremony commences without offering prayers to the Elephant Lord, Shree Ganesh. This ensures absolute success in the venture undertaken. That’s why whether it’s a marriage or laying of a foundation stone, opening of a shop or appearance in an examination, first day at job or a court case, it’s in ones’s best interests not to fail to seek Lord Ganpati’s blessings.
No problem can be too tough for a Sadhak who has had his blessings, as the Lord can bestow success in every field of life. You may be in need of money, a house, a vehicle, a life partner, a job, a good business, perfect health, freedom from ailments and adversaries, there’s nothing the Lord cannot bless you with. And besides taking care of all your needs, He can also protect you from dangers. Although depicted as a very gentle God in picture, He can be a terror to the enemies and no problem, ailment or sorrow can make way into the life of his Sadhak.
No wonder He is Known as Riddhi Siddhi Pradata – the bestower of all comforts and virtues to every human. He can have something to give to every person that could boost the person’s chances of success in his/her field. A student can gain a sharp intellect, a businessman could gain the knack of making the largest profits, a musician could possess talent enough to put even a muse to shame, a writer could acquire a flair unparalleled, a politician could develop astute skills and a lawyer could gain extraordinary eloquence all through the grace of Lord Ganpati.
Whatever be your field of work, whatever be the problem that you are facing in life, you should surely try this Sadhana of the Lord. And if you are devoted and sincere, the Lord shall not fail to rush to your help.

So if you wish to say good bye to all your troubles, if you want to get rid of poverty, ailments, tension, enemies and your misfortunes, then do try this ritual.
The right day for this Sadhana is Vijay Dashmi or a Monday, appropriate time being 6 am to 9 am. Early morning get up and have a bath. Sit wearing yellow clothes on a yellow mat facing the East. Before yourself place a wooden seat covered with yellow cloth. On it place a copper plate. On the plate draw a Swastik with vermilion. Bathe the Ganpati Vigrah (गणपति विग्रह), wipe it dry and place it in the plate.
Establish the Siddhi Gutika (सिद्धि गुटिका) before the Vigrah. Offer vermilion, rice grains, yellow flowers on the Vigrah and Gutika. Light incense and a ghee lamp. Offer Laddoos of Besan (sweet made of gram flour) to the Lord. Around the plate make 12 mound of rice dyed yellow, arranged in square form. On each mound place a betel nut. (सुपारी) Offering vermilion on each nut chant the 12 names of the lord.

Next with a Coral Rosary (मंगल माला) chant 11 round of the following Mantra.
After Sadhana distribute the sweets offered to all family members. Tie the Vigrah, rosary and all other articles of worship in a cloth and drop the bundle in a river/pond.
