Essence of Lord Krishna has remained as important as it was some five thousand years ago. His beauty, virtues, accomplished tasks etc. can’t be explained in few words. If we go to some place to listen to the preaching of any saint, they mostly teach that to attain completeness, to attain the state of Neti-Neti, one has to live an ascetic’s life. They preach that this world is just an illusion. However, if we ask them if they worship Lord Krishna, if they consider Him as a God, if they consider Him as Brahma, then the same Krishna never lived an ascetic’s life. He always followed the path of Karma, He lived His life in full joy and prosperity yet He is called as Yogeshwar.
The biggest yogi in this world is none other than a householder as he continuously walks on his path holding all the worldly ties together, still involved in the Sadhanas and worshiping Gods. One who has understood Lord Krishna, one who has been able to assimilate the knowledge of Gita, for sure, the person has become a yogi in life. At the end of Gita, it is mentioned that where there is Lord Krishna, where there is Arjuna carrying out the Karmas, there exists Yogeshwar Shri Krishna, there exists victory, there exists prosperity and virtues.
Lord Krishna is not just someone who should be understood via Bhakti Marg. He is the epitome of power, ethics, virtues, prosperity and one can understand Lord Krishna properly only if he can understand all His traits. Lord Krishna gave us the preaching that one doesn’t need to be an ideal of virtues and moralities, but our behavior should be tough towards the bad people and should be lovable towards the virtuous people. He was the one who laid down the foundation of politics of the modern world.
He was born at midnight when there was utter darkness, this was an indication that when there is utter darkness, a divine light will soon appear. There is a limit to pain and sufferings too and Lord Krishna’s incarnation day comes every year with this message. This day is highly suitable to perform various Shastrokt, Tantrokt and Mantrokt Sadhanas and Sadhaks must take full advantage of this auspicious time.
Gautamiya Tantra, Sharda Tilak and Kram Deepika are very special texts related to Lord Krishna Sadhanas. Gautamiya Tantra mentions that one can attain both prosperity and nirvana by performing Sadhana of Lord Krishna with full dedication. Provided below are four Sadhanas related to Lord Krishna which touches four different aspects of human life. Some Sadhaks perform all the four Sadhanas of Lord Krishna in a single night and some perform the one which can fulfill their most desired aspect of life. However, it is a fact that any Sadhana of Lord Krishna doesn’t go in vain.
For this procedure, both husband and wife should sit together. One needs Santan Gopal Yantra and Gopal rosary for this Sadhana. Have a bath and wear yellow Clothes . Sit on a yellow mat facing north. Take a wooden plank and cover it with a yellow cloth. Place a picture of Gurudev and worship Him with vermillion, rice grains, flower etc. Light an incense stick and an oil lamp. Chant one round of Guru Mantra and seek His blessings for the success in Sadhana.
Now take a plate and place it in front of Gurudev’s picture. Place Santan Gopal Yantra and worship it by offering water, vermillion, rice grains, flowers etc. and then offer a mixture of ghee, honey, sugar and sesame seeds. Both husband and wife should then join their palm and pray to Lord Krishna to fulfill their desire. Next take some water in the right hand and pledge thus –
Asya Shri Santan Gopal Mantrasya Narad Rishi Nushtupshchhandah Sutapradah Krishno Devata Mamaabheeshta Siddaye Jape Viniyogah.
Let the water flow onto the ground. Next meditate on the childhood form of Lord Krishna and recite 5 rounds of the below mantra with Gopal rosary.
Perform Lord Shri Krishna Aarti after the procedure. Next day after taking the bath, place the Yantra in your bedroom and your wish will get fulfilled soon.
Now take a copper plate and place it in front of Gurudev’s picture. Place the Yantra at center and offer some saffron on it. Offer a flower garland onto the Yantra and wear one around your neck. Now, one should make eight mounds of rice grains in front of the Yantra and place one betel nut over it. They are the eight Mahishiyas of Lord Krishna – Rukmini, Satyabhama, Nagnajit, Kalindi, Mitravinda, Lakshmana, Jaambavanti and Sushila.
Now worship Kleem Yantra by offering flower, sacred thread (mauli), betel nut, sandalwood and black sesame seed. Sindoor holds a special significance in this procedure and must be offered on the Yantra. All these offerings should be made while chanting the mantra below. Once the worship is over, Sadhak should chant 11 rounds of the mantra with Sammohan Rosary offering some rice grains onto the Yantra.
After the mantra chanting, save all the offered articles and make a powder out of it. It is clearly mentioned in Gautamiya Tantra that after consuming just a small quantity of this powder, the person will follow your command and remain loyal towards you. One must not use this procedure for fulfilling unethical desires as it will harm the Sadhak.
One needs Ichchha Purti Govind Yantra, two Govind Kundal and eight Shakti Vigrahas for this Sadhana. Have a bath around 9 pm and wear yellow Clothes.
Now put some flower petals in front of Gurudev’s picture and place Ichchha Purti Govind Yantra at the center. Worship the Yantra with sandalwood and saffron only. Place a picture of Lord Krishna aside Gurudev’s picture and make a mark with saffron on the forehead. Offer Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, ghee, curd, sugar and honey) and some sweets to the Lord. Place one Govind Kundal at each side of the Yantra and make a mark with saffron on them. Now the Shakti Vigrahas should be placed around the Yantra – they are the eight powers of Lord Krishna namely Lakshmi, Saraswati, Rati, Preeti, Kirti, Kanti, Tushti and Pushti. Chant the below mantra and place one Shakti Vigraha around the yantra starting from the right side, then right and bottom corner, then at bottom and so on.
After completing the Shakti worship, start the mantra chanting. There is a special procedure for mantra chanting in which the Sadhak should take a flower or some flower petals in both palms, chant the below mantra and offer it onto the Yantra. The process must be repeated 108 times.
Perform Lord Krishan Aarti with the already lit lamp and consume the offered sacred food. If the Sadhak repeats the process for one complete month, the wish definitely gets fulfilled.
Lord Krishna had to fight throughout His life. Sometimes, He defeated the enemies with physical strength, sometimes with His mind and sometimes using His political approach. He was able to establish Dharma back on the planet. This Sadhana is a blessing for those who are tormented by enemies in life.

Now, first worship Krishna Paash followed by Krishna Ankush with vermillion, rice grains, flowers etc. Chant Om Suchakrayai Swaha while worshiping the Sadhana articles. Next, make a mound with rice grain and place ShriKrishna Sudarshan Yantra over it. Place eight betel nuts around the Yantra – these are the symbols of eight weapons of Lord Krishna – Conch, Chakra, Club, Padam, Paash, Ankush, Bow and Shar.
