In this speech Saad Gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali ji explained the advantages of getting accomplished in one’s life through a Diksha over achieving the same by performing Sadhanas. Here he explains how a person, who can infuse Guru in himself, can achieve divinity in his life. Here we present before you an extract from one of his divine speeches……
Bhishma Pitamah was one of the very few persons who could recognize Lord Krishna. He once said to him, “O Lord! No one here is recognizing you, Yudhishthir thinks you as a friend, Duryodhana considers you as a foe and for Draupdi you are like her brother. However if I look you through my soul, you are apart from all these worldly relations.”
Hearing this, Krishna replied, “Ye Yatha Maam Prapdayante Taam Stayave Bhajaamyah” i.e. I will appear to you as per your perception. One who considers me as his lover, I am a true lover for him. If one considers me as a friend, I am his best friend, If one takes me as an enemy, I am his worst foe. As your third eye is activated, you are able to see my divine form. Due to this reason, you consider me divine and you are able to see my divine form. One can achieve the same from me as per his perception.”
Similarly, a disciple obtains the same how he perceives his Guru. If he sees Guru as an ordinary man, he can obtain nothing from him. If he sees him as a divine being, Guru leads him to the divine path. If he considers him as a lover, Guru bestows love upon him. Krishna told Bhishma that when I started this Mahabharata war, I was criticized for initiating it. However, it was the only option left for me to eradicate the demons from this earth. I chose the Vijay Kal (an auspicious time for achieving victory) so that the Pandavas should emerge victorious.
This is the impact of auspicious time. However, nowadays we are told to avoid such times. Today, we consider the Grahan (eclipse) as an inauspicious time, we are told not to eat or drink anything. People sit idle and avoid this time. In Hindi, this word means accepting something whereas due to lack of true knowledge we are avoiding it. Also, we even don’t have a knowledgeable Guru who can explain the true meaning of this period.
When Ram got tired of fighting with Ravana, he prayed to his Guru Vishwamitra. Vishwamitra appeared before him and asked the reason for his anxiety. Ram pleaded before his Guru that even after all his efforts, he is unable to conquer Ravana. Vishwamitra told Ram that he should some how try to fight with Ravana for the next thirty six minutes. Exactly after thirty six minutes, Vijay Kal will start. Right at that moment, aim at the naval of Ravana and he will definitely die. It is the only time to conquer Ravana.
This is the greatness of eclipse. It is such an auspicious time that whatever task one initiates during this period, he achieves success in that. I want to pour enormous knowledge into you, I want to make you immortal. The moment a man takes birth, he starts his travel towards death. Suppose a man is going to live sixty years from now, after five minutes, his life will be reduced by five minutes.
The moment you die, people will forget you and they will go and cremate you. However, if you really want to make your life worthy, you should do something so that people should always remember you. If people forget you, your life was a waste. The essence of life is that we should become immortal and being immortal means that we should do something so that people may remember us. We should become as great as Gods. Even if we remain humans, we should be full of energy, courage and positive aura.
There is a place in Rajasthan named Khatu. Lord Krishna is worshipped as Shyam Krishna here. Every year more than two lakhs people come here to offer their prayers. However the idol in the temple is not of Krishna, it is of Babruwahana. He was the grandson of Bheem.
Krishna knew that no one in this world was as courageous as Babruwahan. Defeating Arjun was just a child’s play for him. He thought, “I have to make Arjun victorious at any cost, what should I do?” He called Babruwahan and asked, “What sort of a courageous man are you?” Babruwahan said, “I will just prove my worth to you”.
He took his bow and arrow and with a single arrow he pierced twenty one leaves scattered around, one of which lying below Krishna’s feet. He asked Krishna to remove his feet else his bow will even pierce his feet. Seeing his skills, Krishna said, “Either you become my enemy or give me a boon”.
Hearing this Babruwahan replied, “Whatever you want, I can accomplish that for you. If you want, I can finish everyone alone. I know I have that capability. If you have some other wish, I can fulfill that also. I know your true form Krishna. I can do anything for you.” Krishna said, “Then, offer me your head”. Babruwahan said, “Just this much. I could have done more than that. However, I request you to put my head at a location such that I can witness the Mahabharata war.”
Saying so, he beheaded himself and handed over his head to Lord Krishna. Overwhelmed with his courage and devotion, Krishna blessed Babruwahan that he will be worshipped as one of him form. This temple is of Babruwahan only where he is worshipped as Lord Krishna. This is the height of courage, greatness and selflessness. This is one of the greatest examples of devotion. A person can achieve such greatness in his life. He then never grows older. Even at an age of eighty, a man can achieve such greatness in his life. This can be achieved by acquiring the attributes of Gods, achieving thus we may become as great as Gods.
And it is not that easy to become equivalent to Gods. It takes lots of pain and suffering to achieve such a state in life. It is not that if I say that you should become divine, you will acquire divine powers. We need to transform our each and every atom so that we may acquire divinity in life. It is only after achieving this divine state, you will be able to achieve success in Sadhanas. And all this is possible by the acquiring divine energy from Guru in the form of Dikshas.
Through Diksha a Guru transforms his divine energy in his disciple. However prior to taking the disciple to such great level, it is the duty of Guru to test the disciple many times and until and unless he gets confident that the disciple will not misuse the divine powers. Rather he would use his powers for the benefit of the entire universe. To become such a pious being, a disciple needs to first infuse Guru in himself. He can achieve such greatness by his selfless devotion towards his Guru. This is only path to achieve such greatness.
A disciple is said to be Guru’s son and you all are my sons in true form. My entire body is made up of you all. You all are my sons and not my disciple. I bless you and wish that you may meet a SaadGuru in true form and may you recognize him. May he transform each of your atoms and convert you into a divine being. May you achieve such great heights in life that you become immortal, divine and ideal for others. May your life be full of fun, laughter, success and divine powers. I bless you once again from the depth of my heart.
