Lord Saturn is the one who gives the results of our Karmas. If our Karmas are good, He blesses us and if we did bad karmas, He punishes us. There are several popular rituals in the society to appease the Lord, like offering mustard oil, black sesame seeds, etc. but these rituals are like filling a pot with drops of water.
To get rid of the malefic effect of Lord Saturn, one must appease Him with special rituals and procedures.

One needs Shani Yantra & 22 black Hakeeks.
This sadhana can be performed on any Saturday. This sadhana is performed on two Saturdays. 11 black Hakeeks are needed on each sadhana day.

||1|| One with blue and black body, who is as illuminating as Lord Shiva, who is as fierce as the fire of doom’s day and who is as scary as Lord Yama, I bow to that Lord Shani.
||2|| I bow the Lord Shani whose body is without flesh, who wears long beard and hair and who has scary dried big eyes.
||3|| I bow to Lord Shani whose body is strong, covered with long terminal hair, is big and dry and has fearful tooth.
||4|| I bow to Lord Shani whose eyes are sunk, whose personality is very severe, penetrating, gruesome, who has a big body & it is difficult to look at Him.
||5|| O Balimukh! You destroy everything. O Son of Lord Sun, you are the provider of fearlessness and I bow to you.
||6|| I bow to Lord Shani who looks downwards, who takes control of everyone, who walks slowly and who wears a sword.
||7|| I bow to Lord Shani who has gained control over his body by severe penance, who is always practicing Yoga, who is always hungry and is dissatisfied.
||8|| Lord Shani possesses divine knowledge, belongs to Kashyap Gotra and is a son of Lord Sun. When appeased, He can provide all the worldly pleasures and when annoyed He destroys everything instantaneously.
||9|| Just by your smallest unhappiness, Gods, demons, humans, lion, poisonous creatures, snakes and all other beings get destroyed.
||10|| O Lord Shani! I am in your refuge, and you are fully capable to bless me. Please get appeased with my worship and bestow fortune upon me.
One can read the meanings only if it is difficult to recite the hymns in Sanskrit. It is however recommended to recite the Sanskrit hymns if possible.
On completing the recitation, collect all the 11 Hakeeks offered on the Shani Yantra. Next chant the below hymns & offer one Hakeek, along with black sesame seeds, black mustard seeds mixed with mustard oil into holy fire.

Repeat the procedure on next Saturday also. Then tie all the sadhana articles within the black cloth used to cover the wooden plank and drop it in a river. Drop the ashes of the holy fire sacrifice too in river.
For sure you will get the blessings of Lord Shani after completing the sadhana procedure. You will see how the obstacles coming in your path are getting reduced significantly and you have started to gain success in your work.
